Setember - October 2007 Missions Report

Dear PASTORS and Church Family,

“Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” Psalm 2:12b
You will never know what a blessing you all have been to us over the past two months. We read some letters and cards and are very thankful to have supporters like you. We know that all that God has done for us is only because of God’s people praying for us.

We are excited about sharing with you so much good news at this time. Last August, we had a "Family Camp" for Baptist churches in Cambodia. We rented a campground (Rawlings Foundation) and had three great days of lessons, sports, preaching, fellowship and allowing the Lord to work in our lives. There were over 1,030 people and the Lord gave us a wonderful time. Many young people surrendered to let God work in their lives and said they wanted their lives to count for Him.

September also has been a good month. We have had good opportunities to minister to many people. We have also seen spiritual growth of our members and a growth in church attendance. Last September 10-12, we had our “Bethany 2nd Leadership Camp” and we rented the same venue just like in the Family camp. There were 120 delegates from Bethany churches as well as from the churches of our fellow missionaries.
Praise God for the wonderful time of lessons, preaching, encouragement and fellowship with the believers and to our three speakers. There were at least ten baptisms, 20 surrendered for the ministry and 15 for Bible school.

Because of the wonderful and successful camps, 2 of my members surrendered to serve the Lord in the ministry and to study in the Bible school. I was so encouraged to start a small Bible Institute. So every Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, we had our small Bible Institute in our rented house church in Pom Thmey (new village). Presently, we had 5 students studying with me ( 2 Khmer ladies and 3 men from the Jarai and Katchok tribe. Were studying the book of Genesis and Baptist distinctive. Please do pray for these students that they will have the wisdom, strength and courage to really learn and the capacity to understand the two subjects.

In closing, we thank you sincerely for your faithful prayers and generous gifts toward our monthly support, which allows us to continue here without being a burden to our Church.

In His love and service,
KIT and JANETH
