August 2007 Missions Report

Dear PASTORS, Church and Praying Partners,

Greetings from Pom Thmey in Ratanakiri!

We are your missionaries spreading the most important news to the neediest of people here in Ratanakiri. Thank you, dear supporter, for making it possible for the Jamandron’s to serve here in Cambodia.

There is no way that we could possibly thank you enough for your faithful support of our work. We have received several encouraging cards, notes and e-mails over the last few months that have been a great blessing and encouragement to both of us. The greatest thing is to know that we have God’s people holding us up in prayer. That is what we desire most. If you will continue to pray, then we know that hearts will be softened, souls will be saved and our church will grow.

The work is continuing on in Pom Thmey. We have seen some set backs over the last two months, but we have also seen some great victories in our lives and most especially in our ministries. God is so good to us. We seems to learn just a little bit more everyday about how He does the work and not us. In our flesh we often want to do the work but we know that it is God who does.

After the successful first service, more young people and some adults came the next Sunday because of what they’ve heard and what their friends and classmates shared to them. By God’s grace, the attendance every Sunday is increasing bit by bit. And many souls came to received Christ as their Savior. Not only that, the parents of our students saw the changes in the lives of their own children. Also, I was able to baptized 2 young people in one of the lakes here in this province.

For the past three months it has been an interesting one. We’ve been encouraged, we’ve had our faith strengthened, and we’ve seen God’s hand at work here in this province. Because for many Sundays, we had some children in our Sunday service, so that was encouraging.

Every Sunday, we are studying through the book of Genesis which is as much an encouragement to me as to anyone else. Because most of the Khmer people here in Ratanakiri most especially the tribal people have no idea about the true God in heaven or how the world came into existence. Most of you don’t know that the people in this province have different beliefs which maybe Buddhism, animism, ancestor worship or some combination thereof. So brethren, help us pray that we could be able to impart to these people the true and living God.

Thank you once again for your faithful prayer and financial support as we represent you all to the Indigenous people. To God Be The Glory!
