March - April Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Missions Partners,

Words cannot express the joy, the burden and the emotions that come within our hearts. Last January, it’s our third year as your missionaries here in this place of Rattanakiri and God continually stirring our souls to reach more lost people for His Kingdom. We wish that you could be here personally and see these people so desperate for the Truth. But we always praise God for the opportunity to be involved in His great and exciting work.

Since I last wrote many things have changed. From the round about on the main road going to the forest of Rattanakiri, they started widening the road in preparation to become an international road going to the central border of Vietnam. They even took off all those big and large and old tress. Because of this, some villager’s needs to go up higher to the mountains while others went to another village and mixed with other tribal groups and even with the Khmer people from other provinces. Presently, it’s so dusty that you can’t even see the road in front of you and many accidents going on for the past few weeks because of the widening.

Anyway, in spite of these changes on the road, the work and the ministry of Bethany Baptist Mission keeps on going and growing not only in numbers but also in the spiritual lives of our members. Some of our young people right now are very active and faithful both in our service and ministries of the church. Also, two sets of family transferred their membership but I found out that the one who baptized them has no authority to baptize so I talked and explain to them in a biblical standpoint. One of them is a sixty-six year old man who had been a Christian for ten years but don’t really understand the meaning of baptism and membership. I praise the Lord that they were able to understand and accepted to be baptized again. So, I baptized them again and TO GOD BE THE GLORY that more souls were added to the family of Bethany Baptist Mission.

For the past few months and weeks, most of the members had been very busy preparing for our upcoming 3rd church anniversary on the 30th of this month. Truly, God has been faithful to us all these years that He allowed your missionaries and the ministry in this place to reach this far and even in the lives of our members. Our Beloved Pastor Nable from our church back in the Philippines will be our special guest speaker to challenge and encourage the church using the theme; “We are Saved to Serve” from the book of Ephesians 2:8-10. It’s high time right now for every member of Bethany-Rattanakiri to get involve in every facets of the ministry in their own church. Our Pastor will be bringing as well his family with him not only to grace this special occasion but also to visit and see some of the mission works and even meet and encourage my fellow missionaries not only in this country but also to the neighboring countries of Cambodia. Please do pray for their safety as they travel and wisdom for our Pastor as he preaches the Word of God on our missions-church anniversary.

Brethren, Thank you once again for your unceasing prayers and sacrificial giving on our behalf.

Your missionaries and servants here,

JAMANDRON’S, KIT and JANETH
