January - February Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Faithful Partners,

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

We count it a great privilege and responsibility to be your missionaries in this foreign field. We do really appreciate your part through your faithful prayers, sacrifice and commitment in helping to make this mission work and ministry possible.

THANKSGIVING AND YEAR-END SERVICE

Last December 27, 2009, Bethany Baptist Mission had a successful and wonderful Thanksgiving and Year End Service. We were able to invite Bro. Srim Sara, missionary to Pakse, Laos to be our guest speaker. He came with his lovely wife, Sopheap to be a blessing and encouragement to all of us. Both our children and young people in our English ministry gave an inspiring special number during our service. Before the preaching, I asked Sopheap to give a personal testimony and she gave an encouraging testimony to our people that Sunday. Then, Bro. Sara preached the Word of God with power from the Holy Spirit to challenge and encouraged the brethren about thanking the Lord for His unfailing faithfulness, grace and goodness in spite of many difficulties, discouragements and distractions that they had encountered in their lives last year. After the preaching, I gave a short invitation and we praise the Lord for the many commitments of our people to keep on serving and focusing on the Lord and not to be distracted by the problems or material things for this year 2010. Please do pray for these people that they will not return to their own beliefs and traditions before but to really grow spiritually and to stand firm on the truth from God’s Holy Word. After the service, we had a short TV showing about the life, sufferings and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Then, the brethren of Bethany served delicious Khmer and Filipino lunch for everybody. And after lunch, we had some parlor games that both children, young and old people enjoyed before the year 2009 ends.

UPDATE: FEEDING MINISTRY

By God’s grace, He continues to supply the needs for this ministry to keep on going. And He added more children and even young people to be fed every Friday after our English ministry. There were about 29 children plus few young people received food during lunchtime. So, those students coming from far villages or coming from school will be feed physically and spiritually. Most of them were students in our English ministry while others were loved ones or neighbors of these students. And before they will be feed, I will ask them to sing together in English or in Khmer and then a short devotion for them to hear God’s Word before going to school or going back to their villages. It’s really a joy and a blessing for me and my wife to see these precious souls fed not only physically but most especially spiritually. And because of this ministry, there were already children and even young people presently attending our services. Also, we praise the Lord for my mother in law to come not only to see the work and the ministry but to be part of this feeding ministry.

Again, thank you so much for all your prayers and partnership. God Bless….

Because of Calvary,

JAMANDRON’S, KIT & JANETH
