November - December Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Missions Partners,

Greetings from the Jamandron’s! Right now we are in the midst of a very busy time with much happening both in our lives and ministries.

We are so thankful to have Christ to strengthen us every day, for we know our flesh is no match against spiritual wickedness in high places. We have been going through some trials and sickness, but the Lord has been our side all the way. We continue to keep on looking forward to what great things the Lord wants to do here in this area and the surrounding villages before this year end. It will be the Lord that will do it through us, as we continue to yield to Him. “I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.” Psalms 57:2

SPECIAL VISITORS

Last Sunday of November 21, the brethren of Bethany Baptist Church-Mission, Rattanakiri were so grateful, blessed and honored to have four visitors and faithful supporters from UAE, Dubai. Actually, this is their first time to have this Mission trip as a church to visit countries in Asia to witness the on-going ministries in Thailand, Vietnam and most especially here in Cambodia. In spite of the Water Festival last November which they called “Bon Om Toup” in the Khmer language, these men from Dubai did not cease to continue their Mission trip to visit and see the ministry and what the Lord is presently doing in this northeastern part of this country. They left Phnom Penh early at 5:30 AM and arrived in Banlung, Rattanakiri at around 3:30 PM on Saturday with Pastor Ngouen Sitha to accompany them and as their interpreter. The church let them checked in one of the nicest hotel which is the Lakeside Hotel. It’s in front of the famous “Bang Kang Saing” which is Kang Saing Lake.

During our combined Sunday school, I let the three men from Bethany Dubai share their testimony and God’s Word at the same time. The men; Bro. Anjjelo, Jun and Alex gave an encouraging and hearten testimony which the members appreciated it very much. After the service, one of the members approached me that he was really challenged and inspired to keep on faithfully serving the Lord after hearing those testimonies. He said, “Pastor, I don’t want to quit or desist serving Our Great God in spite of my difficulties in life and I need to be faithful in everything I do for God starting right now”. Praise the Lord!! Before the preaching, I let Pastor Ngouen Sitha share his testimony about the present ministry and on-going building project at BBC Chiruy Chong Var. I praise the Lord for the willing heart of our people at BBCM-Rattanakiri to help and be a blessing to other Bethany Family not only here in Cambodia but all throughout the world. After the testimony, the members gave from the heart just like the Philippian church. And as their Pastor and your missionaries, it’s a joy for both of us to see their faces and willingness as they gave their love gift, their tithes and offerings. Also, during the service, our young people and children gave heartwarming special songs which the visitors really enjoyed and were blessed. Then, Pastor Ed Pamintuan gave a simplified but very challenging message from the book of Acts 20 which is the story of Saul that became Paul, one of the greatest missionary. He took the message from the theme of our mission-church anniversary “Saved to Serve”. During our invitation, most of our members came forward and signified to start serving the Lord and to keep on going no matter what problems or difficulties they will encounter in their lives. Brethren, it’s really a blessing in our part as your supported missionaries and from the members of BBCM-Rattanakiri to be visited by our faithful supporters and prayer warriors in this far and remote place of Cambodia.

Mission partners, we both know that you had been praying and supporting the ministry here in Rattanakiri all these years. Thank you very, very much!! And we really appreciate it very much from the bottom of our hearts. But I want to encourage and challenge each one of you not to ignore our place but make a plan and consider visiting us for you to see the ministry and what the Lord is doing in the lives of our people and be a blessing to them.

Again, we are always grateful to God that we have such missions minded churches, families and friends behind us in prayer and material support on the mission field. Things would not have gone the way it is going without your willingness for God to use you as a channel of His blessing.

Fellow servants and laborers,

JAMANDRON’S KIT and JANETH
