September – October Missions Update

Dear Pastors and Mission Partners,

Hello everyone, warm greetings to you. We want to thank you for your continued prayers, support, and encouragement. Certainly God has used you in a mighty way to bless us in this ministry. God continually amazes us in how He is advancing His kingdom. It’s a privilege to be a part of what He is doing. We serve a mighty God.

BLESSINGS

We have kept very busy these last few months doing the work we have been called to do, trying to make sure that every penny in us will be multiplied for your account. And that every second you invest in prayer for us will be the dividends you deserve. Last Sept. 24, God gave me and my wife an opportunity to visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through the invitation of Bible Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Bill Toh, a Chinese pastor as one of their speakers in their Missions Conference. We arrived in Malaysia safely late in the evening and we were picked up by the Pastor himself and brought us to stay at his brother’s house. Saturday night was their International Night so most of the members wore different clothes from the countries that they represent for their conference. All the members were so warmed, kind, very hospitable and very generous as well. We were able to meet and fellowship with the only Filipino couple in this church and they were formerly members of BBC—Sta. Mesa. Also, it’s a joy for me and Janeth personally to meet two Cambodian young ladies working as domestic helpers. They had been in KL for about 4-5 months already. And I really praise God that we were able to talk and share to them the plan of salvation through their own language. They did not accept right away but we praise God that the seed was planted in their hearts.

The theme on their conference is “Let Your Light So Shine” from the book of Matthew 5:14-16. God allowed me to preach five times as their last speaker in their conference. After the challenged and encouragement from God’s Word, many of them approached me and they said we were so blessed with the preaching and the on-going ministry in Rattanakiri. Praise the Lord!! By God’s grace and it’s really a blessing to see the hearts of these people stirred up to use their personal testimony or to shine their light to reach out and minister for more lost souls in their areas in Kuala Lumpur for the Lord Jesus Christ. And not only to shine their light to their loved ones, families, friends and co-workers but to continue praying and financially supporting the missionaries that they are presently partnering with. And also to get involve more on missions by adding more missionaries in their supporting list this year and for the coming years as the Lord provides. Because they believed that the “The mission of the church is missions”.

ENGLISH MINISTRY

God continue to bless us with precious and faithful children in our ministry. Most of the children were students in our presently English class using the BLESS program as a tool in reaching and ministering to these children. Some of them are faithful members of the church while others are consistently attending our Sunday school and even in our morning service. Because of this English ministry, God gave us three young Muslim ladies and by God’s grace, I was able to share to them bit by bit about the Lord Jesus Christ. They had been attending this ministry for the last four months. Also, in this ministry, we make sure that we pray before we start and after the English class and it’s a blessing that they even pray with me and together with the rest of the students. Because of this ministry, we praise God that the family of these Muslim ladies opened their homes for us. So, right now, were presently building a good relationship with them and with their neighbors in “Pom Cham” or Muslim village. These ladies told me, “Pastor, our parents are very eager to meet you and they’re inviting you to visit them and to fellowship with us”. What a privilege and a blessing to visit the homes of these Muslim families. And it’s our prayers that someday, these students and their families will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. So, every Saturday or even in weekdays, I make sure that I will have time to visit these Muslim families in the village. Also, last week, God blessed us again with another student from one of the tribal village which is the Krueng village. This young man came to the church with one of our member and approached me if he could study with me. I accepted him and found out that he’s a Christian believer in their village. He’s staying near the Pagoda with his family to study in the Khmer school. This is the reason why God allowed and put Bethany Baptist Church-Mission in Pom Thmey which means “New Village” near the Elementary and High School to reach out to these students. So, brethren, we your missionaries and Bethany Baptist Church-Mission are not only reaching and ministering to the tribal people but also to the Khmer, Muslim and to the different indigenous groups living, studying and working here in Rattanakiri.

Rest assured that we do really appreciate your consistent prayers and financial support. Much has been done, but more can yet be accomplished as a result of your faithful sacrifices for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sake.

Serving the King of Kings,

JAMANDRON’S KIT and JANETH
