January - March Missions Update 2011

Dear PASTORS and Ministry Partners,

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Prov. 3:5.
We praise the Lord that He is trustworthy and omniscient, and we don’t have to depend upon our own weak, finite understanding. God’s ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best, no matter how, or when, or where they may lead.

We greet you in the precious name of our wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Not only that, but we greet you from our home church, Bethany Baptist Church, Makati. Yes, we are back in Rattanakiri after a brief furlough for about two months in the Philippines. We have not been in our country for two and half years. We had a great time with our loved ones, families and friends and even with some of our supporting churches back in the Philippines continually challenging and encouraging them to keep on holding the rope for World Missions. It was a tremendous blessing in our part to attend our 57th Church Anniversary and 11th World Missions Conference and also the Global Conference in Cebu. The theme of our 11th World Missions Conference “Laborers Together With God” was very timely for many churches to work or labor together in spreading the Gospel to every creature around the world.

During our stay in the Philippines, God enabled us again to see what the Lord is presently doing in so many churches especially in World Missions. Last month was a tremendous encouragement to us in seeing God put his hand on some folks in the Philippines about helping the ministry in various facets in Rattanakiri. What a blessing it is to see the body of Christ getting excited about what is going on in Rattanakiri and then commit, and begin to plan, their own trip. Some are planning to come for a couple of weeks, to see the work. Some are planning a few months, to get in the work. We’re praying that God will touch some to come full time. The harvest in Rattanakiri is truly white and many more laborers are needed before the night comes. Also, many churches signified to partner with us not only by praying but supporting the work and ministry in the northeastern part of Cambodia. God blessed us with eight more supporting churches in our list and by God’s grace, our support continuously increasing bit by bit. Praise The Lord!!

MINISTRY
While in the Philippines, we received a lot of great and exciting news in the field. We praise the Lord for the single Filipino man, Bro. JD Caray who overseer the ministry while Om Ath, the 66 year old man, was the one teaching and preaching God’s Word in our service and Sunday School. Also, we thanked the Lord for some of our men and women who’s been a great help in our ministries and for the faithfulness of our members. And also, I praise the Lord that in spite of the absence of their Pastor and Madam, the attendance increases, prospects for salvation, baptisms and visitors every Sunday. Not only these, what a joy to hear and see Muslim men and women attending our service for four consecutive Sundays. By the way, there’s one lady named Sunny, attending our English ministry, faithfully attending our church and very supportive in all our ministries and even consistently inviting her neighbors and friends every services. And this is the exciting thing, we went to the Cham/Muslim village near the church, and by God’s grace, were able to visit a Muslim family of this lady, Sunny. They warmly accepted us and I was able to talk to the father and to the family about our work in this place. At first, we establish/build relationship with them and to the Muslim village. On the third time, it’s a blessing to share to them the Gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ. I’m so glad to see their faces attentively listening to God’s Word especially the father. Please do pray that the whole family of Sunny and even the whole village will see the truth and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It’s truly a blessing for us as your missionaries to minister not only to the Khmer and Tribal people but also to the Muslim people who needs a Savior just like anyone in this world.

Brethren, one day, you will see the fruits of our laboring together here in Rattanakiri, and we will all rejoice knowing it was worth it all. We praise God that He allowed us to serve Him here! Thank you so much for your prayers and partnership in reaching souls for Christ!!

Warmest Blessings,
JAMANDRON’S KIT and JANETH
