April - May Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Missions Partners,

Psalm 119:105 – “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.......”
The Christian life is a journey. It is wonderful to know that each day we can walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He leads us and guides us from day to day. He is our awesome Guide!

Greetings to all! We want to thank all of you again for having us and our ministry to your churches this year and also for your faithful prayers, financial support, and constant source of encouragement to me and my wife all these years. We have certainly learned that we could not do what we do without you. We pray that God will bless you more for your faithful giving to this ministry and that He will fill you with all His bountiful blessings throughout this year.

APRIL
The month of April has been busy but indeed exciting for my wife and myself because of every opportunity He gave us to spread the Gospel up here and make a difference with compassion in the lives we hope to touch as we continue to labor for Jesus Christ who is worthy to be Praise and Honor! Since we arrived here in Rattanakiri from our two months of stay in the Philippines, many things have really changed here. We noticed that many hotels were established, people were increasing who came from other provinces and even other nationalities like Vietnamese and some Burmese settling here for business and simple life. Also, we saw that some of the tribal groups (2nd generation) have decided to come down from their villages to study and mixed with the Khmer and Muslim people. But one thing for sure, in spite of the many changes going on in this place even in the whole of Cambodia, the faithfulness of some of our members to Jesus Christ never changes and continuously faithful to Him.

MAY
We are excited as the time goes by, and quickly it does, to see our people growing spiritually and in numbers. If there are excitement/blessings, there are also trials and it has been part of our lives and ministry since we came up here. Last week of April, we started packing our things to transfer to another place in another village. Tiring but exciting to stay in a much bigger and comfortable place. We finished transferring all our things for a week and we praise the Lord for some of our members who came and helped us. Also, last May 15, we honored our five Christian mothers in our church on Mother’s Day. What a joy to see these mothers in our church consistently attending and faithfully doing their ministries in the church. Praise the Lord for these mothers!!

Last May 29, we had our successful and blessed 4th Missions-Church Anniversary with the theme “Faithful Till He Comes”. Pastor Nuth Pich, a local Pastor from Bethany BC, Tuekhla gave an encouraging and challenging preaching that Sunday. Four people came for salvation and many of our members came forward to continually committing their lives in serving the Lord faithfully until He comes. Pastor Pich brought with him his family and his wife Ravy gave a challenging testimony that in spite of what happened to their only daughter, she and her family did not even think to stop serving the Lord faithfully in their lives and the ministries that God entrusted to them. The theme was very timely because some of our people lose their real focus in serving the Lord while others stop coming to church. They stop because they gave more time in their “Chomka” or farm and this is the most common problem in many churches in this area. This is their only means of living; planting cassavas, beans, rubber trees or anything for them and their family to survive. Sometimes, we felt discouraged as your missionaries but we need to keep on teaching and preaching God’s Word and also encouraged them until they will realize the importance of putting God first in their lives. And we’re hoping and looking forward to see true commitment from our people to God and to the ministries that they are involved right now for this year 2011.

Brethren, we are humbled by your faithfulness to this ministry and to the Lord and want you to know that there are great rewards awaiting you in Heaven. Thank you very much for your on-going partnership.

Serving Him Where He Put Us,
JAMANDRON’S KIT and JANETH
