July 2007 Missions Report

Dear Pastors, Brethren and Faithful Supporters,

Wonderful Greetings from Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Since the month of June, we started to visit one village to another village around Ratanakiri. In spite of the heavy rain and very bad roads going to the villages, my wife and I together with our staff and 1 member from our church were able to visit one of our students and their families especially to the Krueng and Katchok village. We just ride a motorcycle going there and we almost fell down because the road was so slippery and muddy. Thank God because nothing happened to us.Going to this village, it took us almost 1 hour because of the bad road. Please help us pray that God would provide us a 4X4 vehicle so it will not very hard for us to visit the people in the villages. We have been praying for a right vehicle for the ministry for about a year already and we still keep on praying and hoping that God would give to us in the right time, at the right place through His own people. We were able to share the Word of God to one of the homes of our students. Praise God because the father shared to me that he's been searching for the truth for a long time already. Its his first time to hear this kind of message and first time to have someone shared this thing to him. He said that he wants to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ. Please do pray that this father would come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. And an opportunity to start a mission work. God willing, we could start another work in the afternoon preferably to the Krueng Tribes only. Please do help us pray that the village leader would allow us to start a mission work in the village. The name of this village is Ochum , mostly staying in these area are from the Krueng tribes.

By the way, the mission work (Bethany Baptist Mission) in Pom Thmey is a mix congregation. Some are from the Krueng, some from the Brao tribes and some are Khmers. We do our service in Pom Thmey in the morning and in the afternoon, we could do a service for the "Indigenous groups". And the village(Kachan village) that we are praying and hoping to start is really to the indigenous or hidden people.

Brethren, the harvest is truly plentious but who will answer the call to be a servant in His vineyard? We do not know the designs of God in regards to this place, Ratanakiri and to the tribal people. Like what I have said before, the Gospel is not only for the civilized but also to the uncivilized. It is true we may have to labor and wait many years before the blessing comes. But we see what God is doing in the lives of the Khmer people after some years of laboring. Let me encourage each one of you to use what we have to reach the " Hidden people" here in Ratanakiri and be a blessing to the lives of these people and God will give us more. I do not say several hundreds missionaries are needed in Cambodia especially here in Ratanakiri. This though true, would be in vain talk. Our prayers is at least two or three more Baptist missionaries needed here, aside from us and one Filipino family reaching the Tribal groups. Please pray that God will send more missionaries in Ratanakiri. God is so gracious to us that He has been opening many more door for us to reach out the souls with the Gospel. The Indigenous people as well as Khmers and the rest of the world are all alike in their desperate need for someone to tell them "the reason for the hope that we have (I Pet. 3:15)".The best sums up our experience is found in (Romans 10:14-16)"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how they can hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? "As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news?"

Until here and may this update be a blessing to each one of you.

Only by His Grace,

Kit and Janeth
