June 2007 Missions Report

Dear Pastors, Brethren and Faithful Supporters,

Greetings from the Northside of Cambodia!

Just want to give you a quick update concerning the work and ministry here in Pom Thmey, Ratanakiri. God was really gracious and faithful to all His promises especially in our lives and to the ministries that He entrusted to both of us.

Last Sunday, 20 young people, 2 children and 2 adults came to listen to the preaching of God's Word. 18 of them were Khmers and 5 from the 2 different tribal groups which is "Chonchit Krueng and Chonchit Brao. My staff was the one who preach and gave a challenging message about "The Gift" which is the eternal life. After the message, 1 young people and 1 adult raise their hands for salvation and 1 for baptism. After the service, my staff and I deal with them personally. We lead them to a sinner's prayer and they accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is really working in the lives of these people inspite of some hindrances and it's our prayer that one day all their loved one's will come to know the Savior.

Most of you don't know, Pom Thmey is the place that God lead us to minister and to start a ministry for the Khmer and Tribal groups in the area. Many people were saying that this place is a dangerous place because of the wickedness of the people in the area, its like Sodom and Gomorrah in the Old Testament. A lot of thieves, prostitutes, drugs, gangsters, gamblings, gays and many more. Even some of the police in Ratanakiri were very afraid to stay and work in this area. Right now, close to our church, they construct a big cockpit. So, this place is really in darkness and they need a light, a lighthouse in the area. We praise and thank the Lord because He allowed us to minister in this place for people to see the light and open their eyes for the truth. This place, Pom Thmey which means "new village" was opened many years ago for the very poor Khmer and tribal people. Because of their present condition, they prefered to be in darkness to make a living or to survive in this province. I shared to all of you before that there's no single church in the area or no one would like to minister to these people. Its really a great blessing to both of us and an opportunity that God is using us now in Pom Thmey. Please help us pray that we could reach one family at a time. God is using all our students as a bridge in reaching their own families.

Also, please do help us pray for the renovation of the church building, electricity, fencing and comfort rooms. Especially right now that its rainy season, everytime there's rain, the water just go inside the house. Brethren, please help us pray about these things that God would provide it in His time so we could fix and renovate the church. So the people in Pom Thmey will see how God works not only in their lives but also to His own church. And for them to believe that our God is more powerful and could provide things for the beautification of His church.

Thank you so much for your partnership and continous partnership with us in the Gospel through your prayers and financial support. Your Labor Is Not In Vain!!

God Bless you all!

Serving Christ With You,

JAMANDRONS, KIT and JANETH
