August – September Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Prayer Warriors,

Colossians 1:28 - "Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:"

Our desire, in all that we do, is to please God and bring honor and glory to Him. But specifically for the work in Ratanakiri, the Lord has impressed this verse upon our hearts and it has become our purpose statement for the work here. There are more than 20 thousand souls in Ratanakiri right now and they must all be warned! The Jamandron’s can’t do that themselves, but through the men and women that the Lord gives us we must continue to multiply until all 18 thousand have been reached and beyond to the uttermost. The worth of each soul, and the eternity that awaits, compels us to warn every man. We must teach, disciple, train these men and women that they may then go out that the cycle doesn’t end when the missionary is gone. And the goal to present every man and women perfect in Christ Jesus! You have an equal part in that as you pray and help us financially and we praise God that we can labor together with you.

ENGLISH MINISTRY
By God’s grace, our English ministry is doing fine and its really a good tool to reach more children and young people for the Lord Jesus Christ here in this particular place of Cambodia. Because of this tool, many of them came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and some of them already followed the Lord in the waters of baptism. And right now most of them knew already to pray, sing and memorized verses in English. It’s really a great blessing and encouraging that God works and continuously working in the lives of these children and young people. Maybe, most of you don’t know that the mission work was at the back of an elementary and high school for us to reach easily both the Khmer and Tribal children and young people. Presently, were using the book of Mark and some ACE materials and even some conversational books for them to communicate and comprehend easily and clearly to everybody.

FEEDING MINISTRY
When the school resumes, Bethany Baptist Mission will start a feeding ministry on November for 20 persons concentrating first to the elementary students. My wife and I observed and found out that most of our members and even some students from a village or another village go to school with an empty stomach. Some of them walk about 3 to 5 kilometers from their village to their school without any food to eat. It’s really our prayer and desire to feed these children every morning before they go to school. We shared this to the church and we will have this ministry to feed the children. Not only they will be feed, they will have morning devotion and even teach them proper hygiene before going to school. I even encouraged them to pray for this new ministry and be a blessing to their own community and village. The feeding ministry is not only for members but also for non-Christian for us to reach these precious children for God’s kingdom. The meal per child is only $.75 per day and the feeding will only be in the morning. Brethren, if you want to be part of this great ministry and be a blessing to these precious souls, partner with us not only thru your prayers but also thru your financial support. Because your LABOR IS NOT IN VAIN!!
