October Missions Report

Dear PASTORS and Faithful Brethren,

Colossians 1:9-10 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Thank you all for yet another month of your consistent prayers and financial support. As we look back this month and see the direction our course is going, we can very much appreciate any and all who to the throne of grace take me and my wife and also the ministry here as we try to fight the good fight of faith. You can look at what Paul said here to the church at Colosse and get a real vision of what your Filipino missionaries ask you to pray for. We desperately need to be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding everyday in our lives.

SPECIAL VISITORS
It was really a great blessing for us and the members of Bethany Baptist Mission in Pom Thmey to be visited by our beloved Pastor Nable and three Pastors (Almodiel, Dig and Gomez) from the Philippines and also Bro. Srim Sara, our future missionary going to Pakse, Laos. We were really encouraged and it’s a great joy for every member to be visited by these brethren even for a short time. Sometimes, my wife and I were quite sad if there are visitors from the Philippines or other countries that came to visit only in Phnom Penh but no time or very far to visit our place to see the work and ministry that God entrusted to your missionaries in this part of Cambodia. Brethren, I want to encourage and challenge each one of you to have time to visit and see our place and ministry if God gives you an opportunity to visit Cambodia and be a blessing and encouragement to our people. Anyway, we were greatly challenged by our Pastor Nable thru God’s Word to keep on serving the Lord and be faithful in whatever ministry that we have right now. During the invitation, many of our members raised their hands to continue their commitment in their service to the Lord. Also, four hands raised for salvation and these are our students in our English ministry. They were invited by our Pastor to stand up and come to the front and they were led to sinners prayer by Bro. Srim Sara. After that, I dealt with them again and they were sure that will go to heaven when they die because they accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. To God Be The Glory! Then, last Sunday (Oct. 25), after the preaching, during the invitation, 3 of them came forward for baptism and 2 more, a mother and daughter came forward as well for re-baptism. I’ve been dealing with them for 3 months already about their baptism. They were baptized by a non-Baptist pastor that has no authority to baptize. Praise The Lord that they finally decided to be re-baptized. It’s really a great joy to see more precious souls that were added unto the church.

Brethren, we just wanted to say thank you again for your unceasing interest in our lives and work. We really appreciate your prayers for us and the monthly support for the ministry here at Bethany Baptist Mission, Pom Thmey Banlung, Ratanakiri, Cambodia.

Together we can reach the lost for Christ!
