November Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Praying Friends,

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.”- Romans 8:28

November has been a very good month for all of us here. We thank God for all his blessings, trials, His faithfulness and the opportunity He gives us to work for him in Ratanakiri.

BLESSINGS AND TRIALS
The Lord has given us tremendous blessings along with many difficult times lately especially in our ministry. We have seen many precious souls come to Christ, baptized and become charter members of the church. Also, people's hearts were stirred up through the preaching of God’s Word every Sunday and very excited to keep on following and serving the Lord. Along with these blessings comes the trial in our ministry. Four weeks ago, the church was robbed and this is the 4th time that happened in our mission- church in Pom Thmey. Because no one is presently staying and looking after the church right now, the thieves had the opportunity to break in and stole some things of the church. They took out some old wooden wall and destroyed the back of the kitchen. They stole most of the cleaning materials and two hoes and they even used these hoes to destroy the wall of the church office and the staff room. They took the church tool box, the wall fan, our office supplies, a small black and white television, volleyball net, spare keys and some important docs of the church.

Anyway, after that tragic thing happened in the church, then, the blessing comes. Not materially but spiritually from one of our members. An old lady and her family are farmers and their present work is getting glue from the rubber tree. Every time they’ve finish collecting glues about 30 gallons, they will go to the factory to sell it. About four weeks ago after the incident in our church, they were able to sell those glues for R7 million riels (US$2, 000). As a missionary Pastor, it is my responsibility to just keep on teaching and preaching the Word of God and to let the Holy Spirit of God convicts them. Two Sunday’s ago, I preached about faithfulness and service to God and I was able to insert a subject concerning tithes and offerings. During the preaching, she asked about the tithes and through God’s help, I help her understand about it. Then, she shared to the congregation that every time she had the tithes in her hands, she will used it to help the poor. So, I explained to her and to everyone the right way of giving their tithes and offerings and I used many verses that Sunday. After the service, she approached me and she said, Pastor, I fully understand now the true meaning of the giving of my tithes and offerings and I made a mistake before God and I feel ashamed about it. So, the next Sunday, she finally gave her tithes (R700, 000) about US$200. After the service, she said to me, Pastor, I felt nervous and afraid if I don’t give my tithes faithfully. And I asked her, why will you feel nervous and afraid?? Because I’m afraid of God’s cursing instead of blessings for me and my family. We Praise the Lord that she and her family were able to recognized it. It’s really a great blessing that after so many preachings and teachings on this matter, some of them truly understand right now (like this family) what they’ve learned and applied it in their Christian life. To God Be The Glory!!

We want to thank you again for your valuable help both spiritually and economically. This makes our work possible here in this place, sharing the Gospel of our Lord and consoling the broken hearts with the powerful Word of God. We would like to ask you to keep on helping and partnering with us to be able to continue working for our Lord. May God continue to bless and reward you more for this.

Gratefully yours in Christ’s Love,
JAMANDRON’S, KIT AND JANETH
