June - July Missions Update

Dear PASTORS and Praying Co-Laborers,

What a great and mighty God we serve! As I reflect on these words I am reminded of I Cor. 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

JUNE

We want to praise the Lord for all the many blessings He continues to bestow upon our lives and even in our ministries here in this remote place. It has been raining hard here for the past few weeks and we’re really enjoying the cool weather and the green environment as well as the honey, fruits of our trees and the vegetables in this place. But God has been very busy in our lives testing, preparing and molding us in another work in another village concentrated on one group of tribe which is the Jarai tribe in Andong Meas quite near the central border of Vietnam. Jeremiah 18:1-2 speaks of going to the Potters house. “The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.” God is always very direct and clear when he gives instruction. While preparing to reach out another group of people, God has been busy also in our present work at Pom Thmey. For the last three Sundays, God gave us another 12-15 precious children in the village where we are presently staying right now. Before 7 am, some of them were already waiting in front of our house to bring them to church for our 7:30 am Sunday school. When they see the church Tuk-Tuk coming, they would jump and sit right away. What a blessing to see the eagerness and excitement in their faces as they ride a Tuk-Tuk to church. Most of them were dealt already about their salvation but we still continue sharing to them about the Lord Jesus Christ.

JULY

God has been very good to us. He has supplied all of our needs and has given us grace to serve Him, which is always sufficient to do what pleases Him. There is still a lot about this Khmer and tribal culture that is new to us, but day by day the Lord is teaching us to put more of our hearts in the work to see the great necessity that these people have to know the Lord and His Word. In our last update in our prayer request, we shared to all of you about the new work that we will going to start in another village, well, God did. He gave us a family in the town and this family shared to us that there are still a lot of villages that don’t have yet churches. God continues to lay a burden in our hearts to start in the town and even in these villages. But, we can’t do it alone; we deeply need all your prayers and partnership. And we both know that the enemy (Satan) is not very pleased and he will really attack because he don’t like these Jarai people to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. But it is our goal to be able to plant Independent, Fundamental, Bible-Believing Baptist Churches in as many villages in Andong Meas as the Lord will give us opportunity to reach. Our burden is to see the Jarai people made alive unto God. Our heart's prayer is to bring them the message that there is hope in Jesus Christ; through Him and Him alone and not through animism. We’re learning the language bit by bit by God’s grace. What excites us is that; their language is almost the same with our Filipino language in some areas. Like for example, wind (English) – hangin (Filipino) – ‘ngin (Jarai), water buffalo (english) – kalabaw (filipino) – krobaw (Jarai) and also number two (English) – duwa (Filipino) – duwa (Jarai). Please do pray for tutor as we continue to learn the language to reach those old people above 50 years old. Most of the children, young people and some adults that are 50 years old below could speak Khmer fluently but not all. So, it is our responsibility to learn the language to be an effective missionary in reaching the children, young people and adults for God’s Kingdom. We will continue to update you more on our next mission letter concerning the work for the Jarai people in Andong Meas.

We thank you with all of our hearts for your generous and faithful economic and prayer support. Thank you for holding the ropes!

God bless you for holding the ropes,

JAMANDRON’S KIT and JANETH
